Need some serious help on the best way to split a squirrel's ear. I've heard to use a seringe with salt water all the way to using a plastic fork/ butter knife. Needs some help!

Red,you could use a lip tucking tool if you have one of the thinner ones to use.Just work it slowly, then you could use clay or one of the epoxies to fill the ear,and also you can use clay for those"tree rat oysters" hope this helps-John.
i krowtann my squirrels and than split the ears, after its tanned they seem to open easier and u wont have to worry about slippage,just my two cents good luck
I dont turn squirrel ears, after mounting I take two lee press-on nails and put on behind and one in front of the ear and paper clip them together and let them dry. Is this a bad thing?
