I have a customer that wants an open mouth badger. I am having problems finding an open mouth form. If anyone out there knows of a company for me to try i would appreciate it. Thank you.

Doesn't anyone take it upon themself to actually thumb through a catalog? Now days you can just browse suppliers website catalogs and find what you need. How much easier does it have to get?
I'm a sucker for helping idiots...so here it goes!
Research sells an open mouth badger form and Van Dykes sells a couple. These are just two suppliers from off the top of my head...look around a littler harder next time!
Dude,
Locate a form that matches the specimen's measurements and open the mouth yourself. It's not that difficult and you'll get alot of satisfaction out of doing so. If you're concerned about screwing up the foam head, just mold and cast a few spare ones as a safety net. Take measurements and use references. Good luck.

I DON'T KNOW IF THATS YOUR NICKNAME OR YOUR DESCRIPTION, BUT I DID LOOK IN Van Dykes McKenzie [a supply company] REINHART, AND I CAN'T FIND ANY OPEN MOUTH BADGER FORMS, THAT'S WHY I ASKED FOR HELP. I ALREADY LOODED IN THE ARCHIVES AND HAD NO LUCK, I NEED A SUPPLIER THAT ACTUALLY HAS ONE. THANK YOU.
Just a nickname... as for description, well, 6 foot 220 pounds. You decide!
Too bad you already looked at Van Dykes and Research, 'cause it just goes to prove you didn't look very well! You state "I CAN'T FIND ANY OPEN MOUTH BADGER FORMS."
Research Mannikins page 153 Badger L-16 open mouth
Van Dykes page 88 "H" Badger 01226690 open mouth

I don't 'blow smoke'... I spit fire and the truth along with it! My first reply was posted as fact! I wouldn't waste your time or mine with a bogus tip!
So if you truly need a form I'd suggest looking again. Unless you expect to find one ready to mount and the exact size you're looking for. Most of the time it aint gonna happen open mouth or closed. Do as suggested above and alter/resize or open a closed mouth to what you need.
Good luck dude!
Dude, Headhanger gave good advice. The altering to open mouth is simple compared to body alterations as a rule. I would find the form that is the closest to what you want and if the only thing missing is an open mouth just cut back through the lip line to the "hinge point" of the lower jaw(use a skull for reference). Cut up from the bottom to remove the lower jaw, hollow out for a jaw set, check fit and go! The jaws and skull of a badger are about the same as a racoon and the open mouth will be "comercially correct" if you make it look like a racoon. Enjoy, Aaron H.
FOUND IT IN THE Van Dyke BOOK AND GOT IT COMING I WAS LOOKING IN THE WRONG YEAR OF MAGEZINE I APOLIGIZE AND THANKS AGAIN.
