I just mounted a bobcat that had something weird about the hide. When I skinned it, in the face area the skin was thick, like scar tissue and literally would come apart with very little effort, but the hair was tight. I tanned it in the auto tanner like usual and got it mounted but had to be very careful. I've never had this happen before and am sure it was not how the bobcat was handled. Any ideas?
