Mod Podge is in the craft dept at Wal-Mart, Ther is a "matte" and "gloss" form of it. Ex: for a deer nose, I use gloss to give it the "wet" look, and for bobcats matte, becasue they do not typically have wet noses. It is also used on the inside edges of eyes to create the moisture in a realistic eye.
I also use it with silkspan to back my fins sometimes.
I use it on fish fins, before I paint them. It leaves them nice and flexible! And I also do as Craig above does, when repairs are needed. When using it on a deer nose, you can put small blobs on with a syringe. There's some type of syringe with a curved point on it...maybe a dental syringe? I know some of the suppliers carry it.
I think KFC uses it in their gravy. Skullboy.
It;s basically a glossy version of elmers glue. And yes there are a couple different versions gloss and mate finish. and deffenetly it works great on fish fins and deer noses. i also use it for minor fin repairs.goes on white and dries to a nice clear finish.
