Ed, I guess you are talking about closing the incision on the tail. I sew the tail back up. You can do most of this before placeing it on the tail wire except for the last few inches near the tip which I sew together around the wire. For commercial work I use a little clay in the base end to get a smoother trasition to the mannikin but most of the tail has only the wire in it. It looks fine but you could wrap the wire to build up the original tail bones and tissue bulk if that's important to you. Enjoy, Aaron H.
