i have always used the buckeye rug shells and always liked the looks of them. just bought a closed mouth shell from McKenzie (denis behn) and i think it looks terrible next to the buckeye shells. i am seriously thinking about returning it and altering a buckeye shell. is this just me or what? mabey they look better in the hide?

Now that McKenzie owns Buckeye. They are all the same company. So you should have no trouble with an exchange.
I am not trying to bust your chops. But that Is the problem with taxidermist today. Forms have become so detailed. and new materials to make taxidermy easy appear on the market every day. This has taken the craft out of taxidermy. Anyone can slap a hide on a form, and make it look decent. People do not know how to add definition to a form. When I started what forms were available were very crude. the taxidermist had to add the musculature to the basic shell. Put you creativity to work and put a bit of yourself into the mount. That form will work just fine
i pay good money, and your damn right i want a detailed form! nothing wrong with buying good forms and saving time. i guess if you like spending hours adding detail, when you could have bought a good mannikin to start with, more power to you.

You paid no where near for a McKenzie Form, what you do for a Buckeye.
buckeye shells are two dollars cheaper!
