I just opened a shop and got one deer for the season is it worth sending off to tannery or should I do it at home I don't have a fleshing machine or a tumbler he also wanted the feet gun rack. Also is Carolina fur a good tannery for a guy in NY. Thanks

I would tan it in house. You can shave it quite thin by hand to get a good stretch. I would use safe t acid pickle and liqua tan for good results and its easy to do. Jack F.
you seem to be starting your Business off going down hill. Why would you tan it at home when you do not have any equip. or most likely knowledge of tanning. Think if you were the customer would you want yourself to tan it improperly or would you want it profesionaly done?
