I just started getting into taxidermy and bought a Van Dykes kit. Seems like everything is pretty simple and everything is included but tools. This will be my 1st time mounting a animal. The kit was cheap enough and if i mess up no big deal. The directions seem ok, but would like a website or some info that shows pictures. I am heading up to Cabelas in PA tonight to see if they have any videos. Thats where i bought the kit also. I have a small red squirrel and a gray squirrel and will be mounting the gray. Would like to start it tonight, but want more info before I start. I figure A video will be my best bet, but might not be abe to find one. I also heard someone talking about filling the feet? Do that with clay or somekind of apoxy? My taxidermist injects something into the feet of small animals when mounting. Im very interested and want to start collect material, get training books and videos and start getting supplies. I eventially want to also get a air compressor and everything for air brushing. Any help on this would be great!
Thanks
