After some small sucesses with sunfish and squirrels I have had the fortune to aquire a handsome fisher. I'm hoping that some of you more experienced taxidermists might be able to give me some basic beginner tips for this animal, involving selecting a tanning formula (I'm thinkning Krowtann 2000 from WASCO). I also would appreciate advice on the necessity of hair slippage prevention, deodorizing or anything else that you think might help a first timer sucessfully mount a fisher.

ordering the mammal taxidermy manual when you call WASCO. It covers all the basics you are asking here. Best thing is to put your specimen in the freezer until you can read that manual. Good luck!

The Fisher is currently in the freezer, where he will remain until I read the manual. Thanks for the advice.
