I acquired a big lynx today that was raised in captivity..this stink`n thing measures 2 1/2 x 40 x 25 circumfrence...I have been through all my catalogs and cannot find anything close except for a small mountain lion..do ya think it`s possible to make some alterations to the ML to make it work or am I better off doing a carcass cast...I saved the carcass because i thought I might have some trouble...Thanks for any tips...

No time like the present to learn carcass casting.

Also look in the McKenzie catalog it will show you step by step to making a form larger.

Travis don Holts european Lynx will fit 2 1/8 x 39.5 x 22 with some minor work. it is sold by Van Dykes on page 151 of their catalog. I have mounted on it and it is a nice form.
Good luck, Michael Vaden

Thanks guys

Mike---thanks man---I looked through about everybodies catalogs but Van Dykes...That`s a nice pose too...

John C--- Guess I squeezed out of this one uh? How is life treating ya? I got this lynx from the guy who has the lions...I`m not sure what he did with the lions we talked about last summer. I`m guessing he has them down in Arkansas city at his buddies place..sorry that deal didn`t pan out..I believe he decided to keep him as a breeder...I will keep ya in mind in the future should something comes up...

I dont look at Van Dykes book much.

Travis, I have enlarged the forms several times its easier than cutting one down, my opinion.

life is a bit shiffty today. Sept 28th 2002 I was thrown from a horse, my left collar bone never heaaled. Yesterday Morning I spent 4 1/2 hours in surgery getting it shaped and repaired then bolted togather. I came home yesterday evening today has been tough, not enough T-3 to cut ther pain. Been sleeping mostley headed back to bed in a few anyway. Anyhow after the cbone not healing in over a year time to do soething about it.

Have a good one JC

John

There is an amazing sculpter and supplyer in ontario. He has a nice lynx and the best wolf . I love his bears too. His name is Peter Knapton .
