How to do deer feet.

Submitted by Sam on 11/16/2003. ( thenuge15@hotmail.com ) 24.247.104.154

I know of three diff. options for doing deer feet. One is skinning the foot and putting the skin on an artificial hoove. Another I see are just a regular form. If I sking it this way will the black part of the hoove come off with the skin? My friends dad just heavily salts them, but I don't know if I want to do that. Thanks for the help-Sam

Do I skin right before the black part and cut off? What about the pads on the bottom? Then I just by a foot manakin.

I have been looking at those feet with artificial hooves in WASCO. What type of paint would I use to paint these?

they come black

I just asked this question a couple weeks ago. WASCO's feet with hooves come black and from the people I talk to they really don't have to be painted, unless you want the tannish nail color at the tips.
