I wondered if i could grind one side of a clear marble flat and then paint
it for a homemade coyote head form i made. I would buy eyes but i wanted to
try and do it all from scratch.

Get some flint eyes from Tohicken and paint them yourself.
look on TaxidermyReference.com and read the article about molding your own eyes.
