Felt border question?

I am doing my first Lynx rug mount. My question is, how do you get the double felt border around areas such as the feet, head, and tail without it bunching up? Is there a technique for getting it to lay flat? I am using 3" scalloped strips. I know I could have a wholesale rugger to do the job but wanted to try it for myself. Thanks in advance.

Mike ,you're going to need to put in pleats or do the whole border in a ruffle to put the felt on.If you email me I can send you a picture of a bobcat rug that will give you a good idea hoe to do it.

Either pleat it or use a full flet for each color on the bac

It seams (HA) that many dont like to pleat the curves, to do a real flat without them, you will need to have the felt cover the complete back and scollop trim with scissors or machine the outline.
