Legality of taxidermy work on roadkill fisher

I live in Massachusetts and I'm interested in mounting a fisher myself that I found killed (very fresh) on the side of the road. I'm wondering if it is legal to posses the animal, posses the mount of the animal and if it is legal for a local taxidermist to tan the hide or send the hide to a tannery for me if the animal was not documented or tagged by the fish and wildlife service or whoever is supposed to do it. Also if there is some way around this (like getting a trapping license and saying I trapped him) I'd be willing to do that too.

Call your Sate Game and Fish(or whatever Mass. calls it). It is always best to go the the authority to get the information for this type of thing.
