now,how about some serious answers on how to do a limb without a bunch of time involved.

To be honest there are no shortcuts. Some things can be done to save a bit of time. But it is never really much. those instant cures usually look as such. Sand the limb. Thoroughly, paint with light gray primer. hit with a wash of supper thin gray/black. This is your base. Now add any bark, moss, leaves, etc., the time you put in determines the quality you put out.
