Coyote eyes?

Submitted by AJ on 01/25/2004. ( ) 198.93.211.209

I'm working on my first coyote (pedestal) mount. I got the form from McKenzie and I'm not sure if I need alter the eye sockets. It seems if I set them without altering them the eyes will slant back and face slightly out to the sides. I was wondering if this was correct or do they need to set vertical facing straight forward?

Where are your reference photos?

I asume Roger Martian sculpted the form. If you dont trust his work, how can you trust what any of us would say?

This is where your reference photos come in, you can even use a calender with wolf pics for reference.

Use google and search.

add this..

dont screw with drilling out eyes - they are right - i use this form by the dozens - the tops of the eyes need built up with clay - sculpture isnt right there

Thank you both!

John C. : Actually it was the reference photos that made me doubt the forms eye set. It's realy tough to see the eye itself. I usually do my homework first before i consult the professionals. thanks again
