Injecting ears

Submitted by SeaBass on 01/29/2004. ( bassluongo@comcast.net ) 24.91.108.111

I've gotten tons of great advice on a opossum i want to mount. I know everyone will continute to argue about this, but i have decided that i'll inject and card the ears becuase im sure ill mess them up if i try and turn them. Is there a certain product I should be using? I've heard masters blend and others, but ive also heard denatured alcohol will do the trick... so whats the deal?
Thanks

Thats a very simple and easy mold to pull, just a dixie cup over the ear, hair slicked down with hair gel. mix your alginate and pour into the cup. once its set up. dry the alginate with a hairdrier and mix bondo and resin 50/50 and pour the bondo mold full. once set pull it and paint it!

I don't know if this stuff will work for what you are doing or not but if you want to know a name of a good injection, try Preserve it from McKenzie. It has worked for me on everything I have tried.
