Hey guys and gals I have a few questions on mounting a cat that my video didn't cover. First do you use the same sting to sew one up that you use to do a whitetail. Second what size lip slot video says bigger then normal but dosen't say what normal is. Third what do you do with the anus do you sew it shut or make a slot and try and tuck it. Lastly the video says to use a acrylic cadmium red light for a base color on the nose can't seem to find any in my supply books any help finding some or a differnt idea.
Thanks for any help anyone can give me on these questions. Later
Bill

Do you have a subscription to Breakthrough? I think its issue 67 that has a very good bobcat mounting step by step.
To answer your questions I use small button and carpet thread to sew up small mammals. As for the anus, I dremel out an area and fill with clay and tuck and shape as needed. I use a small modeling tool to make my lip slots. If you would like I will make some coppies of the mounting article for you and mail them to you. My email address is listed above. The best advice I can give you is to make sure you skin the feet all the way down to the toes, and take extra time to turn the ears.
