I have a skunk that a friend found in one of his traps, I plan on mounting it up because it has excellant markings, My question here is abouting skinning, I plan to do a dorsal incision ,but considering I have never skinned a skunk I was curious on the whereabouts of the stink sack. Where is it and is there any easy way of skinning it without rupturing the smelly thing. Thanks for any help.

I have found with skunks, mink, coytoes and fox, to carefully insert paper towels into the anus and scent ducts, this will block most of the stink. good luck
