Just getting started. 1 duck done, and now doing a squirrel. Just a few quick questions. I have read in one manual to turn lips, ears, and eye lids(?) I thought. But then, I have a video that doesn't do any of this. Is all this necessary? Which is correct? Do I fill the foot pads with critter clay or keep them plump with Masters Blend or anything? It is a closed mouth mount, done with dry preservative. Any hints or tips would be appreciated! Thanks... -RICH

you half to if you don't it will rotttttt
think about it if you don't turn them how is all that meat going to be taken out,you still got to preserve it all if not you'll get slippage, shrinkage and you mount will rott away,
yes for a critter that small i use clay, machae, ear base to fill out the feet and the paw,s
how do you get the clay down in the paw and still slide the manikan over it i cant ever get the clay to slide down to the paw now matter how hard i try someone help me
Try getting the clay wet, if you are having trouble fitting the mannikin inside the arm, cut the feet off the mannikin at the ankle, doing this will make room for the clay in the foot. Then just push the clay against the mannikin to hold it in place. Hope this helps.
