We do a number of these each year. They are very thin skinned.
- DP works well on these but brush on wet. Mount skin damp after washing.
- Be sure to use adequate hide paste. We use caulk. Without, skin will actually break open as it is extremely thin and brittle when dry.
-You have to turn the ears about two thirds or more (very difficult)and get an ear base in there. We use bondo. Inject tips of ear with enbalming fluid. Rub in DP from outside. Card ears.
- We mount the rear feet separate. Then attach them when dry. Full wire structure is needed plus a strong filler or the toes will break off. We use sculp all. The hair is thick and hides attachment well.
- Use the real front teeth sculpted into the form.
- The dorsal cut running mount is easiest. Try not to get too long.
- Expect to get the fluffy underfur up your nose. Good luck.
make sure you rubber band the toes together, because they WILL spread way too far apart! GOOD LUCK
