What makes a better mount? Spring Bear or Fall Bear

I am considering going on a bear hunt. My question is, does a spring bear or a fall bear make a better mount? What are some of the reasons why one makes a better mount that tne other? Thanks, Ryan

Hunting spring black bears can be a little iffy. You have to really watch out for rub spots on any bear you see. They're really prone to rubbing their old coats, this is mainly due to the hibernation state they were in. Their coats collect alot of dandruff, and scaley skin which they want removed. I'd prefer a fall hunt myself. Don't get me wrong you can get some really nice spring bear, If you have the chance to, use a good pair of binoculars and check out your bruin first.

i live in the dryden, ont. area and run a taxidermy business there, also do a bear hunt and our season only has the fall hunt as they took our spring hunt away, that was the best thing they ever did,as far as the fur goes there all awesome, not like they were in the spring, fall time usually has nicer weather for hunting and they have more weight on also.
