I am trying to order a raccoon form my measurements are
2 ¼ x 28 x 18 ½. I can"t find a form with the correct measurements. I know that I can trim down the circumference and length but I don"t want to be messing around with the face (I"ve herd it"s most important) as this is my first mount. Also I don"t really want to be fooling around with a bunch of chemicals and saws and foam to enlarge it (but if I have to I will). So, what do I do and how much room do I have to play with an inch, half an inch, none?
Note: My first mount.

Wild raccoons tend to be similar in size by age. Pen raised guys can get up into the 60 and 70 pound range, but that's not the case with the wild guys. Get a form that fits your eye measurement that CLOSE to the length and girth. Raccoon skin is especially elastic and it will likely fit very well on a "close" form. Avoid form alteration at this stage in your career if at all possible. I think this one fits easily into that category.
Brad, George gave good advise- form alteration is not what you want if you can avoid it. It will be easier to mount the coon slightly smaller if you can't get the just right form. Often we tend to measure lifesize critters a bit too long which just starts a pile of problems. Good luck and enjoy, Aaron H.
Thanks, I just didn"t want to have the skin too baggy or tight on the form.
