Super gluing an incision

Skinned a puny weasel today using a dorsal incision. I wonder if the incision could be closed with super glue given sewing could easily be visible if I'm not careful. Has anyone tried this? Does it hold long-term? Thanks.

That's exactly why I never make a dorsal cut. It's easier to cut the form. I'd be very wary of superglue for the seam. Superglue tends to crystalize after a few years. It makes both sides of the seam very brittle and many times, ends up cracking open. Good luck.

with you George. Why dorsal cut an animal that the seam would show? I would also venture to say that super glue would create more mess than it would hide.

I would use very fine fishing line and don't pull your stiches too tight. Allow them to lay down.

Doug
