Tanned African Hide

I have an African Impala to mount that was commercially tanned. Well in the inner thigh area the hair is missing, showing the tan colored leather. After mounting this should I paint this area and if I do, what color? Should it be white or more of a light flesh color? Or should I put some epoxy sculpt in the area and try to simulate the hair thats missing? Thats the problem with living in Missouri and never actually seeing these animals live. Thanks in advance.

Have seen african species up close and hunted for em as well and mounted em to and no if the hair is missing leave it the way it was.. african species have very little hair because... they dont need it.. it never get cold.. leave it the natural color and dotn paint it will look od but its the way it is supposed to be.
