Has anyone degreased a red fox with the Kemal-4? Instructions say 5 ounces kemal, 5 gallons of water, and 1 quart of kerosene or coleman fuel. It says to degrease several hours. With foxes being so common to slippage, I am afraid of leaving it for too long. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

About the only time you'd need to go to those extremes degreasing a fox is if you soaked it in bear fat.A good washing in Dawn and a good rinsing is all that is necessary.
I soak them about 5 minutes in dawn then I throw them in the krowtan..
i don't like dawn because it tends to bleach whiter the natural fur colors. that's just my opinion.. i think you really do not need to degrease a fox at all. you run a big risk of fur slip. and foxes think about it. are mostly lean fast and nervous too.

You have to see a western alaska redfox skin. Fat as a pig. Requires alot of scraping and probably some degreasing.
