You probably have a local fur auction in your area. We have the Mohawk Valley Fur Harvesters auction 3 times a year (Central NY). Check this site out http://www.furharvesters.com/feb04us.htm

These are more national averages..

This the report from the Northern American Fur Auction as of February 24, 2004

Market briefs= Beaver; while a disappointment as far as prices are concerned, this article is selling well at international auctions. Most major offerings have seen 100% clearence, as trappers and shippers are apparently becoming accustomed to the low prices. Understandably, trappers are adjusting their efforts and activies as a result of the prices, resulting in a shorter take. Buyers are watching grades and size closely because profits margins associated with beavers have been very small. With long-haired goods still under strong demand in Russia, Greek buyier have set the tone at most of the international sales. Until there is serious competition from another sector, advances will be small.

Beaver= Offered....Sold...Section...Average...Top
82,927 100% Eastern l $21.84 $110
100% Western l $19.07 $42
lll $5.49

That all the information I have at the time.
