i have a fox that was tube/case skinned and i want to do a sitting mount with it. i almost always use dorsal, sometimes cased for a standing mount. i know i can sew up the incision and still cut it dorsally but is there any way to work with what i have? i cant see anyway to get in and sew up the hind legs.

First, you have to cut off the front legs. Carefully cut them out in a wedge cut that more or less takes out the shoulder area. This will allow you to mount the front legs completely before pushing the body up through the "tube". Also build your ear butt areas with clay before pushing the body in. Now you can paint some epoxy paste on the wedge joints and pin them in place when they are aligned properly. Roll the lips back up over the face to work your eyes and finish as normal. The back legs should fit easily over the mannikin and your stitching will be very minimal and virtually unseen.
