i have a bobcat that i tanned with lutan f about a month ago. i rubbed it really well with oil paying close attention to the foot pads. i soaked it for an hour and then let it sweat overnight and the feet are still as hard as rocks. anything more i can do to loosen them up?
thanks

Wrap them seperately

You can rehydrate them, and wrap them seperately to soften them up. It sounds like you did not rehydrate your cat long enough. If you do just the feet, you won't have to worry about slippage on other parts of the hide. Air blow hair of the cat so it feels moderately dry, than soak your feet and try to concenetrate on only soaking those areas that are stiff, wrap the feet seperately and than place the cat in plastic overnight, and make sure your form is absolutely 100% ready for mounting, this way you won't have any long delays with the hide. Continue to blow hair as your mounting so you can leave the outside dry...hope this helps
