Cleaning mounts

I was approached by a member of a museum to clean all the taxidermy mounts at 2 small museums in the town I live in. Has anyone ever done any of this? There are big game, birds and fish...I don't have a head count yet but will have one within a week. A lot were mounted back in the 1930's. What should I charge if I take this challenge and what cleaners would be good for the mounts. Thanks in advance..

you're per hour time plus materials. Be sure to document each mount with photos before you remove them from the museum or you may be blamed for the cracks and damage already there. Expect a lot of unseen at first damage that will destory any profits on a per piece basis.

Check with Eric Carter for any questions on refurbishing old mounts-he's a wiz!-Susan
