what to do with a jackrabbit

Hi, I have a jackrabbit in the freezer that I shot this winter, soon I am going to thaw it out and mount it. I was wondering what the best way to preserve it would be. Also i read something about using denatured alcohol to loosen the membrane, and any tricks for turning the ears? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If it was me. Rabbits have such thin skin I would try and tighten it up by using a pickle the salt in the pickle should do the job. Then I would tan with liqua tan or any other. Or soak it in an alum tan. Jack F
