cobra/mongoose, armandillo and iguana

I recently inherited a few taxidermied items, and although they are quite nice, I do not want to keep them. They are a cobra/mongoose intertwined, a large armandillo and a large iguana. How and where do I have them "appraised". I live in New York. Thanks.

Not to give you bad news but taxidermy does not appreciate like antiques. The cobra mongoose is a trincket trade and novelty item even when new goes about 85.00. The armadillo about 100.00, and the large iguana done the old way probably 50.00. That is for pristine condition. Since new mounts can be done for the same price not including the iguana, you could probably get maybe 200.00 for the lot of them. The appraisal will cost you more than they are worth!

now what?

Thanks for the response. I don't have the heart to just throw them away. Where would I donate them?
