I am doing a o/m squirrel with a nut in his mouth.How does the nut sit in his mouth, between the teeth or what?Also does anyone have a good close-up picture of this?Thanks,Mike

..It can either go between or behind the teeth. The few I've mounted with nuts in the mouth, I used smaller sized nuts so they fit in without looking rediculous. Hickory and Hazelnuts work best because they fit well behind the teeth.

Doesn't the squirrel hold the nut with front paws..!
Squirrels often carry several nuts in their mouth at once, but as Adam said, walnuts wouldn't be a good choice for a mount. And I've seen them carrying ears of corn in their mouths where it looked as if the jaw HAD to be dislocated.
...I was watching a squirrel eating berries. It would pick the berry with it's mouth, transfer it to it's front paws, then eat the berry.
