Steven, Air dry the skin after removing ALL flesh and membrane. This is the way trappers have done it "forever". Now, the skin won't last forever but it will keep a long time. Enjoy, Aaron H.

exactly!

Do what Aaron said then you can wash it with dawn, rinse well, and tumble or fluff dry with an air compressor and stretch to dry.

strech and dry your coon

Hey the best way to keep your coon skins with out freezing them is to just strech and dry them you can buy #4 size strechers from any trapping supply company. They are not expensive at like maybe 5 dollars the are preety afordable. But you need to put your coon on the strecher and then you need to leave it for about 4 days with a fan on it if you dont put a fan on it. It may rot Also strech the hide skin side out. If you have any question emial me.
