Thawing a wet tanned fox cape

Can someone tell me what is a good solution for thawing a fox cape that was wet tanned? Someone once told me 2 caps of lysol in a gallon of cold water. I am trying to stop bacteria from growing on the cape while thawing and cauing it to slip. I usually thaw it over night in the fridge at about 38 degrees but I want to be sure it doesn't slip at all.

Just throw it in the fridge and it will be fine. I usually put mine in at night and by morning they're ready to start working with, I've never had one slip ... if it was tanned properly that is. Good Luck!

Like Asher Said.....

Simply place it in the refrigerator and it'll be fine. I've left tanned hides in the refrigerator for a month or better and they've never slipped. As for G's remark, bacteria can grow on anything and anywhere. Nothing is a permanent deterrent for bacteria.
