I have a coyote I was asked to mount for a friend. During the skinning process I noticed that the shot damage was extreme. It was shot with a 22.250 and it took out alot of the brisket area. I want advice if I should try to transplant some fur from another speciman or try to hide the brisket area with some habitat. Any help would be great. Thanks

how big are we talking? you can sew it up and it should hide on a heavy furred animal like a coyote. i would not try and cover with habitat as the area will grow larger as it dries. sew it or patch it.
