I am a novelist writing a piece in which someone is moving a lifesize grizzly mount (a large male), and it's very important that I know how much such a mount would likely weigh. I'd be grateful for any help on this.

I just recently moved a grizzly mount and it took about 5 people...moslty to stabilize so that there wasnt any damage during the moving process...to transfer the mount to a forklift but most of the weight is in the base that the bear is mounted on. im sure a group of 6-7 people could easily move a grizzly mount depending on the base, what the skin is mounted over, and the postition of the bear (this one was on all fours, which made the stabilizing process a lot easier)...i hope that helps!
