I recieved an elk cape to mount that was killed on a ranch in Texas. Very nice 7x6, No measurements were taken from the person that caped him. I know how to measure a whitetail with no measurements, I was curious as to what size form to expect to purchase on 1200 pound elk. I have never mounted a elk before only mount whitetail, any advice greately appreciated.

other wise you are going to be waisting money & haveing to buy anouther form.
It can be anywhere between 30" neck to 36"on the large Elk.
Just wait till its tanned & measure behind the ears as with deer.
