Has anyone used the "cast lip/nose" forms from McKenzie, or has anyone heard anything about these forms? They are about twice the money but may be worth it?
Thanks

They are nice. They save alot of prep and finishing time. Also, you eliminate shrinkage. If using for customer work, make sure you charge enough extra to cover it.
I actually do this as a hobby for myself, I don't get any comensation for any of these mounts, but from what you said James it sounds like it's still well worth the money.
Don't forget, these cast lip heads include an artificial nose(already installed),a jawset(the new Mohr "Slimline" one),which was designed for this project, has a throat and redesigned tongue.Figure the cost of the head form plus this stuff and couple that with the time saved using these things aren't expensive at all.
that I wanted to use from the [a supply company] catalog. It's a running coyote OM, but I was thinking I would buy that form and a "cast lip/nose" change out head and replace the one that comes with the form. Would this be the best option if I wanted the "cast lip/nose"?
Thanks
That should work fine. You may have to build up or rasp down the neck on your form to match your head. Very easy.
Thanks to everyone for the input it really souns like the way to go!
