I was reading a Breakthrough manual about how Ed Thompson individualy mounts his squirrel tails before he freezes the rest of the squirrel,with dry preservative.Then reattaches later during the mounting process.I would like to do the same thing but tan my skins with lutan-f. My question is how do i get the edges of the dry preserve tail and the tanned body skin to blend smoothly together and how do i attach,do i pin together or sew? thank you 4 your replies.

detach the tail prior to curing is longer than that on the rest of the squirrels torso, when you insert the wire protruding from the tail into the body a couple of stainless pins will secure it fast and the hair blend will be unnoticeable. Is that a word? Doesn't look like one!
