I have found that there are larva living on my husbands mounts, deer and turkey. I have also seen these bugs in a box of old wine that has some old papers in it. I checked this forum and found someone with the same problem and someone told him it was "cutter moths" and he would need a sealed fogging and then keep up with some scheduled pest control. Can anyone tell me just what is instore for me? Would he be refering to placing the deer in a sealed bag and then exterminating that way or was he refering to having my whole house sealed off and exterminated? I could very easily resolve the problem with a can of CHARCOLE LITE

Whoops I didn't get to finish. CHARCOLE LITE and one small match! LOL.
Help if you can.

Obviously, the mounts got the bugs from your house, not the other way around. Click the orange SEARCH icon and type in "dermistids". But the quick answer is to fumigate your house, these "bugs" are also known are "carpet mites". You can fumigate the mounts individually if you'd like, but it must be done immediately before feathers and hair start falling out.
well sometimes taxidermist who get dermistidacedentaly let some out, and they do quite readily destroy mounts, and skins. does he have a colony? if not then i guess they must be mites?
i would have an exterminator go to your house and kill all those bugs call the orkin man LOL hope this helps
