I will be skinning my first badger and thought I might ask for any tips or things to watch out for. Things like will the feet pull thru the leg or if the tail needs to be split?
If its like skin-un out a bobcat or yo, than I have no problems!
Thanks in advance for any ideas or comments!

Just make sure you watch out and don't cut into the scent glands near the tail. Will stink like a skunk if you bust them.
ive only done one myself but yes i did split and salt the tail.i split the leg from the pad to the joint.its more to sew but it makes it easy to work with.mine was also full of porcupine quills.the quills i missed the flesher found and made more holes to sew.all in all i was pleased.it made a great mount.good luck!
you do have to split the tail. It is very greasy and needs to be cleaned out. Do it on the underside. The legs do not need to be split. They are so short and stubby there is not need to make a cut. Just go easy on pulling out the paws. It does work trust me.
Be very careful around the anal area. That's where the gland is.
DO NOT cut into that one or you'll remember it for the rest of your live. LOL
