Which way would be best using the original skull or or just use the head on the form?

You are probably not ready to rebuild and use the real head. As for Tim why do you act like it would be so bad to use the real head. If you can rebuild it it can be used accurately. Sometimes it needs to be used because the heads on forms are not correct. It all depends on your skill.

The real head is the way to go as long as it is all intact like todd said the some of the symitrys in the head might not match with anything else.

My two cents

I don't use it. On any animal or fish If I can remove the once living part of the animal I do. Less left for a bug to get into!

Have you guys mounted squirrels before?

Using your logic, we should use the real deer skulls as well? Been there, done that, got old and gray anyway.

John David Ellzey makes some of the finest squirrel forms available and IF the head doesn't fit your squirrel, neither does the body. Using the real skull, aside from the bug magnet is the fact that the eyes are tough to set on tree rats to begin with. Having to clay in all that mouth, jaw, and eyesocket is just a waste of good time. Regardless of how much time you spend, all you end up with is a damned SQUIRREL anyway.

form

im 14 and i say form because the skull would be hard to deal with but you'll get the same results with a form
