Long term storage

I recently started tanning small to medium mammal hides. I like the way the hide doesn't shrink as much as using dry preservatives.
My question to those that tan their small-medium mammal hides is what method of long term storage do you use until you get time to mount the specimen? Why? Thanks

I usually salt dry then store my hides. I like to salt dry everything, weather I send it to a tannery or tan myself. They will store almost indefinitly salt dried. I don't like to use up my freeZer space if not necessary.

if you have room

soak them up and freeze them. skins retain some residual acid after tanning and over time "acid rot"
this process is virtually stopped if the skins are frozen.
