I found a freshly killed Fisher cat is it legal to find a Taxidermy shop to mount it and how would I find a shop to do it? would any good
shop be able or is this a best done were they are use to doing them.

You should call your local game commission. Some states will allow you to pick up road kill, as long as you purchase a kill tag. It may be approx. $100.00 for the tag, and than the mounting varies per taxidermist, but you should definately call first. If you do end up posessing it, e-mail me, and I will give you guidance on how to freeze it properly. Do not wait, for you do not want your hair to slip. The longer it stays unfrozen or unsalted, the sooner you may lose the species to bacteria all together. We mount fishers, if your interested.
