Looking for a live trap for yotes. Anyone know where to buy a good dog size live trap? I have had at least 3 people ask me to kill them. I live in North Carolina. Supposedly there is a "white" coyote running on this couples' farm.

havahart has dog sized live traps, but i know most of the people around here build their own so maybe you could find a local hillbilly to custom make you one.
But in my opinion you are not going to get a coyote to go into a live trap, they are hard enough to catch with snares and footholds, let alone conibears or live traps.
They use soft catch jaws on jaw traps, and transfer them to cages using a noose.
I have a friend who has caught them in a home made live trap. it is 4 foot high and 6 foot long. Coyotes will not just go in it, they have to be worked in to it. He starts by baiting ouside the trap and then over the course of many days begins putting bait farther into the trap. I can catch the rascals the first night so it just doesn't seem worth it to me, but he is just haveing fun, not really trying for numbers. Snares, if legal are probably your best bet if you are not experienced with trapping coyotes.

Hey my farm has a 3 year old 94lb yote on it i live in northern okla.he rides in the front seat with me and will take your head off if you dont belong ask the wife.shoot a bunnie rabbit with shotem up gun throw in back off trap you buy at local hard ware store wait a few days andhope like hell you aint caught a gaurd dog "i would kill the sum bitch they catch mine" . Also savage makes a 22-250 oh 55gr bullet 6-700 yds perfect shoot it also got me in the 700 club you guys should try it oh is it legal to shoot out of a truck ?
