I'm experimenting with a heating pad that is designed for reptiles. You peel and stick it to the bottom of a glass tank and plug it in. The problem is that it just doesn't generate enough heat to get the environment to the optimum temp for the beetles to do their job. they burrow down into the cotton and stay there. Beetles alive...Yes. Beetles cleaning bones...No.
