Hello, I am doing a lifesize blk. bear and am having a hard time getting the paws to soften up. I soaked them for a couple of hrs. and tried to work them but they didnt seem to do anything but crack when I tried to work them. Should I try to thin them with dremel sanding bit then soak them again (the tannery and or who ever skinned it left alot of the inner pad fat or what-ever that stuff is on there. Or do you just cut pads off and rebuild w/epoxy. Only one pad will show on mount? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Check out "rehydrating". The paws especially need to "sweat" overnight to be pliable. Be careful with the Dremel, sweating will eliminate that need.
Just to be on the up and up. I did search but I searched Bear Paws not rehydrating Thanks again George. Hank
