Any tips for fleshing out bear paws? I pealed 3/4 around pads and skinned down to last knuckles. Having trouble removing the flesh down in the finger/toe joints. Any tricks of the trade you are willing to share? Thanks to all and Merry Christmas.

If you have the last bone out, down to the claw you are fine. There is not enough meat in ther to worry about. Get it salted and dried out well and it will come back from the tanner in perfect shape to mount. I split my pads down the center, because when I turn the foot inside out and let it dry that way it will keep the claws inside the inverted foot. That equals no claw damage from tumbeling at the tanner. If you are cutting around the pad you might have a problem keeping the paws inverted. A cable tie around the foot and a note to the tanner to leave them that way helps, too.
