When the ears are turned on a mammal a pine marten in this case
is the cartilage totally removed or is the ear just skinned out on the backside of the ear to allow for tanning. Just wondering if its possible to get out all the cartilage on a very thin ear. Thank you

I turn the ears and do not remove the cartilage. There is so little there on the small mammals. I then tan and then use sculpting epoxy to make earliners.
